Courtney Carey has over 22 years of service to the people of Denton County. Her background includes guardianship services, case management, mental health crisis and continuity of care, Medicaid waiver programs, as well as working with individuals and their families who have a diagnosis of intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. She has been a Texas Certified Guardian since 2015 and is an active member of the Texas Guardianship Association. In 2021 Courtney was elected to the TGA board by her peers across the state. Thorough the TGA she is the chair for the conference committee, which educates family, private professional guardians, attorneys, and court staff on guardianship matters for the state of Texas.
