Amy wanted to be an astronaut growing up, but ended up in social services. She is a licensed master social worker who served seniors in the nursing home setting from 2017-2022. Since 2022 she has been on the community side of discharge planning, helping families navigate local senior living options. During her nursing home experience, she helped several of her residents obtain a guardian when they had no one else to represent them. That process sparked an interest in pursuing further work in the guardianship field as another way to support and advocate for those who have no representative. Amy lives in Carrollton with her family of five children and enjoys music and gardening among other things.
